Bowl Licker Yule Lad Ornament

He hides under the bed. He waits. The second you set a bowl down, it’s his.

Bowl Licker (Askasleikir in Iceland) is the sixth Yule Lad, arriving on December 17. In the old days, Icelandic families kept their food in lidded wooden bowls and set them on the floor for the cat or dog. Bowl Licker beat the pets to it every time. No crumb survives. No shame either.

Here at HestaRokk, he’s in good company. Hermi has licked a feed bucket clean and then checked it twice. Some things are universal.

Charlotte’s artwork brings him to life in full color on lightweight ceramic, so he won’t drag down your branches. It comes with a gold cord, ready to hang the moment it arrives. Pick from four shapes.

Hang him low on the tree. It feels right.

Each ornament is made to order, so nothing ends up in a landfill.

Lock up the leftovers. Bowl-Licker is on his way.
